Context series, distinct from the live index above: dated, publicly sourced H100 rental price points. Solid dots are archived provider pricing pages and dated announcements; gray dots are dated press comparisons; open circles are third-party index prints, cited with attribution. Every point links to its source. These are heterogeneous published prices (different providers, terms, and form factors), not a continuous series, and they are shown separately from Silicon Lien's own daily capture (solid line, from July 2026). Points above $8.40 are clipped to the chart edge.
Prices are on-demand marketplace listings for rentable GPU capacity, captured once daily (06:17 UTC) from vast.ai and RunPod public marketplaces. Per family and source we record sample count, min, median, quartiles, and max. The blended figure is the sample-weighted average of source medians. These are spot marketplace rates, not contracted or committed rates, and samples are small for some families; counts are shown. The series is young; treat early trends accordingly.
